The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express is a beautifully restored luxury train. The VSOE is one of the most luxurious trains in the world that takes passengers back to the Golden Age of Travel. Made up of 17 original, exquisite carriages and with a choice of three cabin types, the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express will be a truly marvelous home-from-home while you enjoy your voyage.
This Paris to Vienna return journey is made up of three legs. The first is the outward journey from Paris to Vienna, where you will be welcomed aboard and treated to an exquisite four-course dinner as you spend your first night onboard. The next day we arrive in Vienna where you will spend the next two nights at leisure doing as you please. The final leg is the return journey back from Vienna to Paris where you make the most of your adventure before you arrive home with stories to tell.

Day 1 Paris
All aboard! Your journey begins in Paris as you board the famous Wagons-Lits carriages of the legendary Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. You are welcomed aboard with a sparkling wine reception and shown to your cabin. Take the time to make yourself at home and wave to those watching the train leave the station.
Later that evening, head to one of the dining cars for a sumptuous four-course dinner, prepared fresh onboard by talented French chefs. After your fill, feel free to explore the carriages, perhaps heading to Bar Car ‘3674’ as the resident pianist adds to the ambiance and you enjoy a cocktail or two.
After conversing with your fellow passengers, it’s time to retire for the evening back in your own cosy cabin
Day 2 Vienna
Awake to exceptional views from your cabin window as a continental breakfast is served. Spend the morning gazing at the Alpine peaks, lakes, and rolling hills as we draw ever closer to Vienna. A glorious three-course lunch is served later that day before the afternoon is yours to spend as you wish onboard.
Later that afternoon we arrive in Vienna, where you depart and spend two nights at leisure exploring this exceptional city.
Day 3 Vienna
Enjoy two nights at leisure doing as you please in the beautiful city of Vienna. Spend a full day exploring, creating memories to cherish for a lifetime.
Day 4 Vienna
Return to the Vienna Main Station where the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express will be waiting for you. Welcomed aboard once more, head back to your cabin and admire the scenery as we pull out of Vienna and head onwards to Paris. After tea, coffee, and pastries are served in your cabin, the time is yours to mingle with fellow passengers, perhaps over a cocktail in the Bar Car, before enjoying a second four-course dinner in one of the dining cars.
Spend the evening as you wish before retiring to your cabin for the final time.
Day 5 Paris
Continental breakfast is served in your cabin before we arrive at Paris Gare de l’Est Station. Here, your journey concludes and you disembark the train for a final time.
Solo Travellers: Due to the upgrade of the Cabin Suites and Grand Suites, unfortunately, it is no longer possible to book a Single Cabin aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. Solo travellers are still able to book although they are expected to pay a "sole occupancy supplement", which in effect is like paying for two passengers. If you are looking to book as a solo traveller aboard the train, please get in touch with us first as we will not be able to accept your booking if you pay for just one ticket.

PLEASE NOTE: Receiving receipt of payment is not confirmation that your booking has been successful. We will contact you one to 10 working days after you have paid to confirm your booking, take further details of those travelling and send your itinerary. In the rare instance your booking cannot be fulfilled for any reason, such as the operator cancelling a journey or anything else beyond our control, we will be in touch with alternative options or will refund your payment.
All prices shown are for one adult ticket. Sleeper journeys are based on two adults sharing accommodation. Single occupancy of cabins may incur additional charge.

As an authorised ticketing agent of luxury train journeys, we may need to pass some of your details (such as your name and dietary requirements) on to the train operators in order to complete your booking. This is done so the operators can add you to their guest list, send you your tickets and ensure the meals served to you onboard meet your dietary requirements. By booking with LuxuryTrainTickets.com, you are agreeing that you allow such necessary details to be shared with the operators under the cause of legitimate interest. There are a limited number of private tables and cabin types onboard. While we keep our website updated regularly, there may be occasions when private tables or cabin types become fully booked meaning we are unable to fulfil your booking requirements. Should this be the case, we will contact you to discuss alternative options and refund any payments made.
We have the right to refuse the request of a deposit when a journey is scheduled to depart in less than 16 weeks. If you choose to book with a deposit you must pay the remaining balance in full 15 weeks before departure at the latest. Should you fail to pay the remaining balance 15 weeks prior to departure, you will forfeit your deposit and your booking. Deposits are accepted by request. Most journeys require a 25% deposit to secure a booking however some specialist journeys do require a 50% deposit. Please contact us for confirmation.
Tickets are sent electronically around 5 days before departure. You will not receive tickets or any form of 'gift pack' in the post. This is in an attempt to reduce paper use and do our part for the environment.
