A 1920s luxury train made of 17 original and authentic carriages, each beautifully restored and with its own stories to tell. With three restaurant cars and a bar car, there’s plenty to explore during your voyage, and with stewards available to tend to you in any way you need, you’ll be taken good care of throughout your journey.
A leisurely journey that allows you to experience life onboard a luxury train and have free time to experience the wonderful city of Venice. Indulge in an overnight journey from Paris, France to Venice, Italy as you sample the finest cuisine made fresh onboard by a team of talented French chefs. Recline in the bar car as the resident pianist sets the scene and retire to your cosy cabin for a restful night's sleep. Once in Venice, the time is yours to do as you please; see the sights and sample the foods before boarding once again for your return journey back to Paris.

Day 1 Paris
Board the legendary Venice Simplon-Orient-Express in Paris just before dinner and settle into your private cabin. Make yourself acquainted with your new home from home for the duration of your journey and relax in your own slice of solitude. As day turns to dusk, it’s time to dress to impress as the first meal of your journey is served. Visit one of the three restaurant cars for a four-course dinner prepared fresh onboard by a team of talented chefs.
After a splendid dinner, head to the bar car for a cocktail and to converse with fellow passengers as the pianist sets the scene in the background. Then, after a drink or two, head to your cabin for a restful night's sleep.
Day 2 Venice
Magnificent mountainous views set the scene outside your window as you wake in your cabin to a continental breakfast. Spend the morning as you please exploring the train and conversing with fellow passengers over a drink in the bar car. A leisurely three-course lunch is then served in one of the exceptional restaurant cars before a relaxing afternoon. While away the hours in your cabin watching the ever-changing landscape or browsing the onboard boutique. A selection of pastries is later served.
Later that afternoon we arrive in Venice. It’s time to disembark as we pull into Santa Lucia station and your time in Venice begins.
Day 3 Venice
A full day in Venice to spend as you, please. Explore this magnificent city, sample the foods and enjoy your time here.
Day 4 Venice
After two nights in Venice, it’s time to return to the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express once more. Once you are settled into your cabin, a sumptuous three-course lunch is served in one of the restaurant cars. Take in the beautiful Italian scenery as the train crosses through Italy and share tales of your time in Venice with fellow passengers.
A lavish four-course dinner is the main event this evening with yet more spectacular cuisine to sample. After which, it’s time to enjoy the final night of your journey where you may wish to visit the bar car for a final time for a farewell drink with new friends you have made.
Day 5 Paris
After a continental breakfast in your cabin, the train arrives at Paris Gare de l’Est station where your journey concludes.
Solo Travellers: Due to the upgrade of the Cabin Suites and Grand Suites, unfortunately, it is no longer possible to book a Single Cabin aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. Solo travellers are still able to book although they are expected to pay a "sole occupancy supplement", which in effect is like paying for two passengers. If you are looking to book as a solo traveller aboard the train, please get in touch with us first as we will not be able to accept your booking if you pay for just one ticket.

PLEASE NOTE: Receiving receipt of payment is not confirmation that your booking has been successful. We will contact you one to 10 working days after you have paid to confirm your booking, take further details of those travelling and send your itinerary. In the rare instance your booking cannot be fulfilled for any reason, such as the operator cancelling a journey or anything else beyond our control, we will be in touch with alternative options or will refund your payment.
All prices shown are for one adult ticket. Sleeper journeys are based on two adults sharing accommodation. Single occupancy of cabins may incur additional charge.

As an authorised ticketing agent of luxury train journeys, we may need to pass some of your details (such as your name and dietary requirements) on to the train operators in order to complete your booking. This is done so the operators can add you to their guest list, send you your tickets and ensure the meals served to you onboard meet your dietary requirements. By booking with LuxuryTrainTickets.com, you are agreeing that you allow such necessary details to be shared with the operators under the cause of legitimate interest. There are a limited number of private tables and cabin types onboard. While we keep our website updated regularly, there may be occasions when private tables or cabin types become fully booked meaning we are unable to fulfil your booking requirements. Should this be the case, we will contact you to discuss alternative options and refund any payments made.
We have the right to refuse the request of a deposit when a journey is scheduled to depart in less than 16 weeks. If you choose to book with a deposit you must pay the remaining balance in full 15 weeks before departure at the latest. Should you fail to pay the remaining balance 15 weeks prior to departure, you will forfeit your deposit and your booking. Deposits are accepted by request. Most journeys require a 25% deposit to secure a booking however some specialist journeys do require a 50% deposit. Please contact us for confirmation.
Tickets are sent electronically around 5 days before departure. You will not receive tickets or any form of 'gift pack' in the post. This is in an attempt to reduce paper use and do our part for the environment.
