After dinner, retire to the bar car for a cocktail and soak in the ambience before retiring to your cabin, seemingly transformed by the stewards into a beautiful bedroom.
The next day, the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express arrives in Hungary, where once in Budapest, you will transfer to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. On day three, after breakfast at your hotel, experience a guided tour, lunch at a local restaurant and a short cruise along the Danube before re-embarking the train late afternoon as you head towards Romania. After breakfast in your cabin the following morning, disembark once more for a visit to the beautiful Peles Castle and rejoin the train for a short journey to Bucharest. After a short tour, you transfer to your hotel for a private dinner in the city.
For the fifth and final day of your journey, rejoin the train as it travels into Bulgaria where you will experience a brief stop to enjoy the view across the Black Sea in Varna. Experience a delicious lunch, and a fine dinner, before spending your final night aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. Awake the next day in Turkey as your journey comes to an end in Istanbul.

Day 1 - Paris
Board the Belmond Venice Simplon-Orient-Express mid-afternoon at the Paris Gare de l’ Est. Be greeted by one of the stewards and shown to your own private accommodation where you will sink int your sumptuous surroundings. Dinner is later served in one of the restaurant cars, after which you are free to recline in the bar car and listen to the resident pianist and enjoy your favourite beverage, before retiring to your cabin.
Day 2 - Budapest
Wake to beautiful European scenery as the train travels into Hungary. Continental breakfast is served in your cabin at a time to suit you, before lunch is taken in one of the exquisite dining cars. After some leisure time aboard the train, we arrive in Budapest where you are transferred to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3 - Budapest
After an exceptional breakfast at your hotel, you’ll be treated to a private guided tour of the city with lunch at a local restaurant, followed by a short cruise along the Danube. Later in the afternoon you’ll re-join the train and enjoy a beverage in the bar car before dinner as you travel into Romania.
Day 4 - Bucharest
After breakfast in your cabin enjoy some leisure time aboard before making your way to the dining car for brunch, after which the train arrives at the mountain town of Sinaia. Here, you’ll leave the train for a visit to the beautiful Peles Castle. After your visit, re-join the train for a short journey to Bucharest, where on arrival, you’ll enjoy a short tour as you transfer to your hotel. This evening, dinner will be enjoyed at a private venue in the city.
Day 5 - Bulgaria
Awake in your hotel for breakfast before rejoining the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express as you travel south into Bulgaria. During the afternoon, enjoy a brief stop to admire the view across the Black Sea in Varna. Enjoy a decadent lunch followed by a sumptuous dinner, as you spend your final night on board the train in your private accommodation.
Day 6 - Istanbul
Early morning the train makes its way into Turkey and across the beautiful Thracian Plain as you enjoy breakfast. Enjoy a special Turkish-inspired lunch before the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express arrives in Istanbul.

PLEASE NOTE: Receiving receipt of payment is not confirmation that your booking has been successful. We will contact you one to 10 working days after you have paid to confirm your booking, take further details of those travelling and send your itinerary. In the rare instance your booking cannot be fulfilled for any reason, such as the operator cancelling a journey or anything else beyond our control, we will be in touch with alternative options or will refund your payment.
All prices shown are for one adult ticket. Sleeper journeys are based on two adults sharing accommodation. Single occupancy of cabins may incur additional charge.

As an authorised ticketing agent of luxury train journeys, we may need to pass some of your details (such as your name and dietary requirements) on to the train operators in order to complete your booking. This is done so the operators can add you to their guest list, send you your tickets and ensure the meals served to you onboard meet your dietary requirements. By booking with LuxuryTrainTickets.com, you are agreeing that you allow such necessary details to be shared with the operators under the cause of legitimate interest. There are a limited number of private tables and cabin types onboard. While we keep our website updated regularly, there may be occasions when private tables or cabin types become fully booked meaning we are unable to fulfil your booking requirements. Should this be the case, we will contact you to discuss alternative options and refund any payments made.
We have the right to refuse the request of a deposit when a journey is scheduled to depart in less than 16 weeks. If you choose to book with a deposit you must pay the remaining balance in full 15 weeks before departure at the latest. Should you fail to pay the remaining balance 15 weeks prior to departure, you will forfeit your deposit and your booking. Deposits are accepted by request. Most journeys require a 25% deposit to secure a booking however some specialist journeys do require a 50% deposit. Please contact us for confirmation.
Tickets are sent electronically around 5 days before departure. You will not receive tickets or any form of 'gift pack' in the post. This is in an attempt to reduce paper use and do our part for the environment.
