Relaxing on board
The Bar Car
The Bar Lounge Car hosts a wide range of unique and entertaining activities such as language lessons and enlightening lectures on local culture and history. The large picture windows make this car the perfect place to marvel at the majestic landscapes outside.
With the evening comes live music provided by the incredibly talented resident pianist. Enjoy the dulcet tones over a cocktail or two until the early hours. Every night, the bar will stay open until the last guest leaves.
The Restaurant Car
The Golden Eagle Danube Express Restaurant car offers a bright and relaxed space to savour the delicious meals, lovingly prepared by the onboard chef. Using only the very best, locally sourced ingredients, you are sure to be introduced to some new and exciting flavours.
The train has two restaurant cars. One or both may be used during each journey, depending on the number of passengers on board.
Every morning on board offers an immaculate breakfast buffet including; cereals, fresh fruit, cold plates, juices and steaming coffee and tea. You can also request a cooked breakfast to be served in the dining car or even in your cabin.
During your voyage, some of your lunches and dinners will take place in local restaurants when you disembark the train but the onboard meals will include fine wine and attentive service in the welcoming atmosphere of the dining car.
All onboard lunches and dinners will be accompanied by incredible wines from all around the world - personally selected by the train's founder, Tim Littler. Bottled water, beer and soft drinks are also available
